alexa, delete what i just said. but of course, it's not that straightforward. if you're at home, yelling at amazon's not going to work. because you have to opt in for this service. so there's three possible outlets that i discovered on how you can stop your alexa from eavesdropping. the first is what i just mentioned. the fact that you have to opt in for the service to delete everything i just said. you can press the mute button and the third step, which also takes so many steps to get to on your app, you have to turn off the recording setting in the app. so of course, they're not making it easy at all. this comes at there's reports a few months ago that thousands of amazon workers around the globe are taking your recordings, transcribing them to help the alexa app and the voice recognition. amazon did not disclose this, did not agree with it. i have one more nonstraightforward point for this entire story. even if you say alexa, delete everything i said or delete what i said, it will only delete the recordings of that particular day. not your entire history or conversation. so of course, it's a us
