amber lee is live in san francisco where the floats for friday's parade are being built. >> reporter:ie, we're along san francisco's waterfront, where the floats are being built to honor the warriors and their fans. the sound of a staple gunfiring away furiously. blue and gold for the warriors. orange for basketballs. building a float for the team is a matter of civic pride. >> i really feel i am a part of the community by being here and helping out. >> reporter: for weeks, workers had been building floats for san francisco's gay pride parade that takes place at the end of month. then the call came last night, confirming that floats are needed first for a warriors victory parade. so some of these floats are doing double duty. >> we just immediately changed directions and started going towards basketball. that will be our focus the next two days. then it will be back to pride right after. >> reporter: allegation revving up for the parade, the company ride the ducks is providing six cable cars and five duck vehicles. >> i'm a big fan myself. >> reporter: the parades are not new to this

amber lee is live at fso with new information about what happened. >> reporter: 10 hours after the crash landing the damaged aircraft is still behind me. a team investigators from around the country is scheduled to arrive here sometime tomorrow to determine exactly what went wrong. en an unusual sight. this dolphin helicopter tipped on its side shortly before 3 this afternoon. it crash landed. an aircraft normally used for rescue missions. >> it's almost a trademark of the coast guard when folks are in trouble and distress on water that's what they typically see. >> reporter: but this time two crew members were inside. a pilot and a flight mechanic. they were on a routine test maintenance flight as the chopper huered at 10 feet aboveground something went wrong. >> when they attempted to land the malfunction occurred and landed on its side. >> reporter: doesn't know if it tilted and then crash landed or if the hard landing caused the aircraft to tip on its side. rotors suffered heavy damage. this is audio from air traffic control as first responders arrived at the scene. >> what's going o
