storm team 4 meteorologist amelia draper joins us now. so now we're not just talking about the temperatures and the wind but now our concern shifts to the possibility of black ice on the roads. >> yeah, exactly, erika. anything that wasn't cleared throughout the day today is going to turn to solid ice tonight as temperatures plummet into the teens and with blustery winds out there as well. take a look at our storm system first on storm team 4 radar. you can see the entire area now dry as this storm takes aim mainly for parts of new england. we're dry for the rest of the weekend, but bundle up. it's 23 degrees out there right now. winds out of the northwest at 13 miles an hour. so look at how cold it feels when you factor in the winds right now. feeling about 9 in frederick and gaithersburg, 11 here in the district and blustery from start to finish tomorrow. here's what you're going to be waking up to at 7:00 a.m. on your sunday, feeling about 1 degree below in gaithersburg, about 2 in manassas. it doesn't get much better. coming up in my

so this is amelia earhart's characteristic red vega and shows her flying across the atlantic and it's in a lockheed electra that she disappears trying to flying fly around the world in 1937. lockheed becomescy none news with high performance and distance aircraft that aviators use these flights. this is a wood airplane and the performance being pushed which seems counter intuitive in regards to what this airplane is. it doesn't have a tubular steel fuselage like the spirit of st. louis but it's looking towards the future in terms of its shape and if we look at this dynamic 1926 to 1934 period of innovation that we're seeing a lot of these airplanes i've been talking about merge, the vega is one of the first to represent the future of what the airplane, how it's going to become modern over the course of the 1930s. so the vega ramped up the spectacle flight, the enthusiasm for these wonderful flights in terms of flying across oceans, continents, around the world, the next airplane the boeing 237d is an example of a commercial airliner that embodies these new innovations in this case car

amelia has given us the latest update on the strike from euston station.ere because there is a lot more traffic building here for a sunday evening. people have come off trains from abroad or from around the country looking to get onto the tube and it is all closed. we are already seen disruption here. the tube station at euston, also king's cross, waterloo, all the major stations will be closed tonight. that is a problem because a lot of people travel into those stations from outside london. they will be travelling tomorrow morning. they would take the tube elsewhere. we will be expecting congestion and to remind people travelling tomorrow, all tube stations in someone will be closed. they waterloo & city lines, victoria will not be running at all and there will not be running at all and there will be severely reduced services on the lines, especially in outer london. we know the latest deal was rejected, but the mayor of london, sadiq khan, is keen to solve this. he has told his team to be up and ready around the clock to help avert a disaster tomorrow an
