amy gardner is from "the washington post" and one of the reporters who broke the story. k you so much for coming on with me. and you tell me, what do the employees say happened? >> well, so we talked, tried to talk to every employee we could find through our reporting and we wound up speaking to more than a dozen and of those we spoke to we learned of two different sort of types of behavior concerning to people. first were people who felt pressured as you noted, who felt that louis dejoy was keen on getting as many of his employees to donate to his favorite kae candidates as possible, through 2014 when he sold the company. but then we also spoke to two former employees of new breed logistics who say that not only people were pressured to give donations to republican candidates, but that they were then reimbursed at mr. dejoy's instruction with additional bonuses. >> a spokesperson said the company followed campaign laws. but this report is obviously sparked calls for an investigation by the north carolina attorney general. that is the state where dejoy's business is headq

why should cory gardner not fight on amy coney barrett when colorado voters elected him to make thoseorts of votes? >> why not let the voters? i still hope cory gardner will come back to earth and realize that coloradoans, you know, they look at a lot of her positions as questionable. they don't want to see the fact struck down, overwhelmingly popular now that we have protection for pre-existing conditions. >> reporter: i mentioned these 11 to 13 vulnerable republicans that are seeking re-election. recall they last ran six years ago in 2014 before donald trump was ever around. in arapahoe county in colorado, back in 2014 cory gardner essentially tied his democratic opponent here. two years later when donald trump ran here in this county, he lost by 14% points. cory gardner ran in 2014 as this colorado independent. last night on the television at my hotel, you're seeing the same similar ads saying that he is for bipartisanship. but to what extent are these colorado voters willing to separate him from donald trump? well, a great number of voters, even conservatives, told us they're not.
