angie: yeah. reporter: and they are importing a lot of deflation, angie. angie: and anxiety that the boj has to look at that deflation goal. let's break down exports here. which sectors specifically will weaken? chinaer: exports to across the board really. inyou want to put it all one. exports to china. exports to asia. in a row we saw a double-digit decline in exports to china, third month in a row of a double-digit decline in exports to asia. it's also important to have a look at just broadly, the yen 10%, 15% weaker as well compared to this time last year. when you look at the eu, it is not as bad. i'm curious what the trade numbers will look like. is part of the u.k. the eu. we had that horrible report on friday from the u.k.. 11% stronger against the pound. angie: speaking of the yen, how much did that come into play with falling exports? very hard to separate what the impact was, but certainly when you look at june, the yen gained against every single one of these except the brazilian curren

angie: how do you find healed? -- yield?'t see that. i have read that and i look at my competitors -- remember, we are self-directed, but we do have people with a million dollars plus. we are talking 14% cash. what they are doing -- brexit was a perfect example. they are extremely aggressive buyers, post brexit, in all the most popular names. ge, andacebook, ibm, they were handsomely rewarded. now we are getting to the point where they will rollout of those -- mainly equities, just because if pushing at yield, it's you towards equities. if you need to do something to get your child to college, or you need to purchase a home, they can do the math. you aren't going to get there with negative yields. rishaad: you make a valid point. some people got in there after brexit, and that is because investors tend to believe in -- you undershooting the bottom and overshoot the other way. how do we overshoot? >> if i look at their behavior, they would tell you they think there's a possibility you have overshot. what i mean is they are ro

angie: thank you.till with us from our london offices, the chief executive officer for intermarket strategy. the busiest man in the u.k., no doubt, is mark carney. he is managing his third week now. he has injected liquidity and told banks to go out and lend money. he has already said that he is going to loosen monetary policy to read, what is the expectation that he will? >> he is saying it and they are going to do it. they said, let's not care about the fiscal conditions. we are probably going to cut to 15%.x from 20% carney said that with the rainy day provisions, the rainy day has come. you have to lend. do not keep them for the rainy day. i think that means more supply of funds in the economy. we know what happens with the rising volume of money. the price of money goes down. expectations go down, whether they will reduce the base rate point 25%. some people say the pound has not fallen enough for mr. carney so he may come in to reduce that. because the minutes come out with a decision, we are goi

angie:'s get back to markets right now with our next guest who has decided to reverse his bearish calls on asia. bank ofe head of america merrill lynch. at a time when people are feeling a little bit bearish, you're reversing your call, yet sentiment right now is about volatility. ini changed my view back february come on a structural basis in march and april. this is a long-term call. i think most of our clients are underweight in emerging markets in asia. there is disappointment in general, bad politics, and this is well known. i think the biggest mistake investors will make in the next three to five years is to continue with that pessimism. a better idea is to be pessimistic five years ago, but now it is too late. why am i bullish? s&p values look pretty good. the earnings expectations are finally really very low. analysts in asia are expecting 0% growth. i think we will do way, way better than that. angie: of course you're going to do better than that if you expect any growth. there is s

angie: they have lost credibility. have disappointed the market with this muted move with a nod towards expanding. in your experience and educated guess -- what do we expect in this next week out of japan? >> japan is interesting because to a certain extent, it is the flipside to the rest of asia. a strong yen keeps japan in the market environment it has been in for the last several months and even several years where you will continue to see the growth companies do well, the strong yen beneficiaries. but i think more important is what it means to the rest of asia. dollaryen is a weak which allows the other asian currencies to float more easily and takes the pressure off of asia. thes very good from perspective of the rest of asia. angie: good for a lot of these emerging markets. specifically, what can we see regionally? start with seoul. is that going to continue? the yenng as you see being stronger, you will see that continue. you are starting to see better sentiment. you are starting to see companies like samsung pr

news 4 angie goff is at the live desk. >> we have more video of chaos in police clashed with protesters, people who were protesting against the police killings of two recent -- of two recent police killings of black men. this was actually later in the night and we learned that 50 people were arrested when they tried to block a highway. only seven of them were from the area. for the most part, police saying that the daytime protests in baton rouge remained peaceful, and then we want to take you to memphis, where the i-40 bridge is reopened. this is after a black lives matter protest that blocked traffic for up to 4 hours. the demonstrations were supposed to move through downtown but then took a turn when people started jumping barriers and blocked the bridge. no one was arrested and there were no injuries reported. >>> protests in our area this weekend did not lead to any arrests. there were four different events in our area in response to the shootings yesterday. at the african-american civil war memorial, members and supporters of black lives matter group rallied before marching. at r
