where we go to talk to our animals.n it is animal cafes all the rage. >> japan with these kind of stories. cat cafes. dog cafes. bunny cafes. visitors can sip their coffee and cuddle with critters. now akiko fujita tells us some cafes tar from cuddly to curious. >> reporter: here at the cafe, hawkeyed creatures greet customers. eager for a unique view with meals and deserts. from a tiny barn owl. to jade the harris hawk. there is no shortage of feathers ruffled here. the cafe is run by the master falconer who dabbled in hawking for more than 40 years. he tells me falconry has been a part of japanese culture for centuries. shogun or military dictators, hunted with falcons in the neighborhood. the bird are a new spectacle in a crowded market. fierce and exotic are so popular. customers line up outside for a mere snapshot. thanks to japan's lax animal regulations they can get a lot closer than that. across town, this brazilian rainbow boa, land turtles and lizards are the preferred creatures. >> wow. very smooth. >> report
