anita, what's the priority for the red cross and tell us what you're doing? different priorities last night than we do today. our number one job last night were to make sure that people who needed to get out of the neighborhood get out and had a place go. today we were able to get into the neighborhoods and actually get our first look at what people experienced and what they lost and what they might need going ahead. so throughout the day today our disaster mental health teams have been on the grounds, making sure we're talking with families not just about their physical needs but what they're going to need in terms of food and water but what they're going to need in such a traumatic event, not just for themselves but for their children. it's also unseasonably cold in texas. around 45 degrees most of the day today. so we've been doing a distribution today of blankets. many people are still without power and without homes and so we want to make sure as they're staying with really tissues and friends they've got something nice and warm. things like that as we m

anita foster is with the american red cross.t question, we know there's still a search and rescue going on here, we know there are people still missing, first responders still missing they are trying to find. how many people have you seen already who need help? >> well, we've seen a lot of people that need help, hundreds, because people have varying degrees of need. and it's important that we meet them wherever they are with their need. today just a couple hours ago were able to take our first look inside the neighborhood. we couldn't get all the way into the zone because search and rescue is still going on in some areas, but we were able to have a firm understanding of the utter fear that people had to have experienced that they were in their homes when this explosion went off. so, just without question means that people are going to need care here for a long time to come, and we've moved an entire array of services here, mental health counseling, our feeding teams, doing distribution of blankets today. unusual weather for us.

today in federal district court, judge anita brody heard arguments on whether this case should be decidedue contends that this falls under the collective bargaining agreement and should be arbitrated outside of court. nfl's lead attorney on this, paul clement, says the union is equally responsible for the cba, which means they share responsibility with this issue. the plaintiffs argued the legal can't be immune, because of the cba, and the court should decide the merits of this case. now, serious terms were used today by the plaintiffs to describe how the league has handled the risks of playing professional football. misrepresentation, negligence, fraud. those were all cited. david frederic, the lawyer for the ex-players, even claimed the nfl glorified violence while knowing about the risks for decades. clearly judge brody was not ready to decide today, saying, quote, i will rule when they sort this whole thing out for myself, end quote. she seemed to really focus on the collective bargaining agreement, maria, and lawyering representing the players, they seemed pretty pleased afterwards w
