i'm anne-marie green. this morning it's still unclear why a gunman opened fire at two military sites in chattanooga, tennessee. four marines are dead and two servicemembers and a police officer were woupted in yesterday's attack. the gunman identified as kuwait-born mohammod youssuf abdulazeez was killed. fbi says he acted alone. so far he's not been linked to any terror organization but they believe it was an act of terror. officials say he had numerous weapons. kenneth craig has more from chattanooga. >> reporter: and this is where the tragedy began here at the strip mall the site of the recruitment center with the first shooting yesterday morning. you can see this morning it's the center of a agreeing memorial and a huge outpouring of support from this community. witnesses say a lone gunman in a silver mustang convertible drove up to this chattanooga armed forces recruiting office and opened fire. a navy sailor was injured. the shooter reappeared minutes later at training facility seven miles away where

good morning, anne. >> reporter: good morning. francisco sanchez still in jail here at the san francisco hall of justice. his bail set at $5 million. it has been one week since the shooting at pier 14 in san francisco. and this is the latest twist in the case. the gun used to kill 32-year- old kate steinle belonged to a federal agent. we don't know yet what agency he or she worked for. we're hearing though that the gun had been stolen during a car burglary in downtown san francisco last month. law enforcement sources confirm forensic technicians trace that serial number back to a federal airport. in his court appearance yesterday sanchez pleaded not guilty to murder. his attorney says the pier shooting was an accident. >> we can confirm that mr. sanchez did not know kate steinle and he had no reason to want her to be harmed in any way. >> reporter: sanchez says he found the gun wrapped in a t- shirt and the pier and that it went off in his hand. now, reports also say that earlier he said that he had been out there shooting sea lio
