scott mcfarlane is in the newsroom with an update on the schools that are adding new school days to make um for all those snow days. scott? >> yeah it's payback time. anne arundel county frederick county garrett counties have decided to slice one day from spring break. it's march 30th in anne arundel, april 1st in frederick, april 6th in garrett. state officials say three other districts have asked permission to do the same but they won't say which ones yet. we know montgomery county schools are keeping spring break into account soer to reduce the school year by three days to offset the snow days. but they've warned parents expect the school year to extend from june 12th to june 17th. frederick county despite trimming spring break, will also extend its school year by two days through june 17th and the school year will b extended till 17th in howard county too. prince george's county schools say no decision there yet, but the northern virginia districts will keep their calendars intact. they didn't miss enough days there to require any makeups. in maryland this is the second year in a row school districts have asked state leaders for permission to change
