anne makovec is there. >> reporter: firefighters are still on scene here to make sure this fire doesn't reignite. the video started appearing on social media at around 10:00 last night when this fire started because of what police are calling a domestic dispute between a man and a woman. they are not saying how it started but when fire crews arrived, the situation was getting out of control. >> they found approximately five acre fire headed up the hillside. >> reporter: sovereign power saw the glow from her window. she prepared to evacuate first alerting her son. >> i said wake up. he said why? i said because we have a fire very close behind our home. he said oh mom, don't worry. i said no, you look and you will worry. >> reporter: they didn't have to leave their homes but gathered their things as ten nearby homes were evacuated. firefighters from fremont got reenforcements from hayward and alameda county and were helped by calm winds and high humidity. the fire stopped before burning any structures. >> very steep terrain but the crews got it contained within a couple of hours. >> thank
