annie mccormick just arrived on scene and has new details on those victims. annie. >> reporter: and, matt and tam, four people are in the hospital. i want to give you a look is the scene behind me. firefighters here say that this is now under control but at this point they are still here on the scene wrapping up. i want to give you a look at this video that chopper6 hd did shoot. this is in the 4600 block of oakland. the fire broke out at 4634. we are told that it appeared to be fully engulfed. neighbors report either having damage and that the fire spread as far as two doors down. now chopper 6hd also has video of the fire that broke out around 5:30 and also of an ambulance that did arrive on soon, at least two medics did have to come because there were three children that were transported and one adult to episcopal. we're getting word according to neighbors that one person jumped from the second floor possibly a four-year-old child that jumped into the arms of a neighbor who then carried that child away to safety. now, neighbors also tell us that they did see the children and the adult as they were taken away. they appeared to be in okay condition and the adult is possibly an asthmatic and that may have contributed to reasons why they needed to be taken away because of smoke inhalation but the children appeared to look okay. now back out here live again you can see firefighters still on the scene here. again, 33 tell us that this blaze is under control. a number of the neighbors, though,s are displaced. there was one woman whose father came here to get her. they said that the damage again spread as far as two doors down from the home. for now we're live in frankford, annienews." >> thank you annie. >>> now a developing story. a man who forced his way into a philadelphia home that did not belong to him did not make it out alive. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live near the scene along the 5100 block of reed street in the lawncrest section. katherine. >> reporter: matt and police believe there man came here to rob this home of drug money but was killed when the homeowner pulled a gun on him. police were called here to the 6100 block of reed street in lawncrest last night around 11:30. they say the 35-year-old man who was killed came in through the front door with a gun in his hand and announced a robbery. that's when police say the 27-year-old homeowner took out his gun and fired at least four shots. two women ran to get their semi-automatics but don't appear to have used them. the intruder was hit twice and collapsed dropping his handgun by his feet. police found the 35-year-old on the dining room floor and medics were unable to revive him. >>

annie mccormick is live with more on the story. annie? >> reporter: rick, that is right, philadelphia police are investigating after a violent night in the city left five people injured in separate shootings. philadelphia police are on the scene in west kensington on the 2800 block of west swanson after gunmen sprayed a hail of gun fire hitting at least three people. officers scooped the three victims and rushed them to the hospital. two masked men were spotted fleeing from the scene and police pulled over a vehicle. >> the female operator of the vehicle was acting suspicious and we are holding the vehicle as part of the scene and detectives are questioning the female. >> at the same time in the lawn crest section of the city neighbors heard shots. >> like six or seven shots last night. and all i heard was people screaming and i knew that someone had got shot. >> here in the 5900 block of malta. a 19-year-old called 911 saying he was also shot on malta, and another victim at einstein he was shot in the calf and they scoured the area finding damage left behind like scattered windshields. >> i have been in this neighborhood for five years and i never heard of it happening around here, it's just crazy. >> reporter: and we are told that all the victims are in stable condition, one victim in the west kensington shooting is released from the hospital. so far there are no arrests. annieccormick, channel 6 "action news." >>> two bucks county women are accused of setting a home on fire while six people were inside. the house went up in flames on lafayette court, police have arrested annette mcguire and her cousin denise coil, they say they lit it on fire and tried to kidnap her daughter from the home. the grandparents and all the children escaped and were not hurt, investigators are back at the property today and both are charged with arson and attempted kidnapping. >>> and the investigation continues into this overnight car fire that sent the driver to the hospital on the 2500 block of north market street, wigts say they saw the car speeding along the roadway before hitting a building and suddenly bursting into flames. we heard a boom and turned our head and then jumped out of the car and he was on fire and laid down on the ground and was rolling on the ground. >> the driver managed to run a half block with his clothes on fire and was rushed to christiana hospital in

"action news" reporter, annie mccormick is live outside police headquarters to update the story, annie. >> reporter: matt, that's right one teenager is dead another in critical condition at the hospital after losing a lot of blood. we found in the past hour a third person suffered a graze wound. take a look at the video. it happened after 10:30 in the 500 block of north 911 calls came in of shots fired. one was shot in the head, the other at the hospital is expected to survive after he lost a lot of blood. a third person did suffer a graze wound. shell casings were found on the street. some vehicles were hit. police know who guns were used. it is not clear what the motive was or who opened fire. the 17-year-old victim found -- who was pronounced dead at the hospital, collapsed on the street close to the blirveg -- ballistic evidence we believe he was an intended target and he was close to where the weapons were fired. >> reporter: and police also say that 17-year-old in the hospital in critical condition frantically went door to door around the neighborhood to try to seek shelter. some

katherine scott is live near ursinus college -- let's make that annie mccormick who is live in collegeville with the developing details. annie? >> reporter: and matt it was late last night that ursinus college let students know it was a student who died in the fatal accident. take a look at the video, this is video from the scene when this all unfolded last night on main street near 6th avenue. a busy thorough row way that goes through the college. the student was struck and killed after being hit by the vehicle. the vehicle stopped at the scene, the pedestrian was pronounced at the scene, the driver of the vehicle and witnesses are cooperating with the police. it was late around 11:30. ursinus put out a tweet saying we are sadden to report a fatal accident involving a ursinus student, more details are to come. many students are not here on campus, because they wrapped up their finals, however, finals go until saturday. there are a chunk of students on campus studying in their final hours before they leave to go home for the holiday break. anne channel 6 "action news." >> funeral arrangements are pending for a new jersey tro
