i'm meteorologist anthony slaughter. right around 50 degrees now as we head through the day we'll see plenty of sunshine especially by this afternoon. but a strong sea breeze will keep the coastline cool at 61 degrees for san francisco. you'll notice down in towards the peninsula, 70. 72 for the south bay. warm spot at 75 and the north bay at 73. hing. it is now officially a tropical storm. winds at 60 miles per hour. not moving much. as we go into tonight and tomorrow it will pick up forward speed and possibly make landfall along the coast of north carolina by sunday. you can see the outer bands producing heavier rain but it's not just the rain it's the rip current danger the rough surf and also the potential for beach erosion. we are looking at the possibility where as much as 5 to 7 inches of rain out of that tropical system. in the middle of the country 5 to 7 inches of rain from torrential downpours. that could lead to flash flooding. we're looking at our best chance of tornadoes in southwestern texas, panhandle of
