in front of us, circle on apollo beach showing a beautiful picture. live shot from apollo beach. just a few high clouds out there. no rain. a lot of people going to make it out in the boat this morning like i said nothing showing up here. we had a few quick moving showers last night. what we are really watching is this out here into southern louisiana. portions of mississippi. that's still seeing the bulk of the rain associated with that same system that was here last weekend. it's moved back off to the west. we have 81 degrees right now in tampa. 82 in clearwater. st. petersburg still holding on into the 70s. 78 there and very nice if you are thinking about heading out and enjoying some of that nice weather. we have more of that typical summer stuff on the way for you today as temperatures push into basically the 90s. once again today and tomorrow. we will look for about a 30% chance of showers later on today. 40% tomorrow and into the workweek. more details on the action weather forecast including a lit of an interesting forecast for downtown saint pete later on this evening. w

first of all a live look, another life look from the circles camera in apollo beach. great place to get out enjoy boating or maybe take a little break from the heat. it will get hot today. things are heating up in the tropics now. this is your average season. for main storms and hurricanes and extreme category three or higher storms. forecast came out and they went up in numbers. they could be between 12 and 17 hurricanes and 2 to 4 category three or higher. now we are saying not happening in the gulf of mexico. nothing going on in the caribbean but in the atlantic we're seeing bubbling up including this one. this is fiona. still a tropical storm and it won't get much stronger. it will curve and go into the atlantic. the one over here is looking a little bit more promising for development. the hurricane center says it development over the next five days. there's another storm that has just now rolled off the african coast line and it is not even getting the spaghetti models yet but it looks like it has an 80% chance of development. we will keep an eye on things and le

take a look at circles of apollo beach camera. beautiful across the marina. there are clouds on the left that are starting to build a bit. as we look at the radar there, are a few showers and st the macdill air force base area. this is all moving inland now. it is a west to east flow. pinellas park getting pounded by downpours. that is about to move into the feather sound area and possibly across part of the howard franklin or courtney campbell bridges. that would be the gandy bridge not the courtney campbell. we have had hit and miss corridor. it will be hit and miss throughout sunset. then we will taper off after that. take a look at futurecast. by 8:00, we still have a few lingering showers through polk county, into sumter, and into arcadia. and then it tapers off after that, leaving us dry by midnight. tomorrow morning when you wake up, maybe you want to go for the saturday morning bike ride or jog. things will be nice and dry. with the west to east flow, we will have a slight chance for rain before very little coverage developing between noon and 8:00 to
