vianey arana joins us from home with a look at our micro climate forecast. it got hot yesterday, didn't it? vianey, you have a little bit of a break for some of us. >> it did. >>> yeah, just a little bit. we were in the upper 80s and felt the heat there. today will be a warm day but we are going to cool off a little bit. so far more cloud cover compared to yesterday. right to the fog and visibility. we're getting reports limited visibility through half moon bay and even up to santa rosa, down to a mile in visibility. if you do, for whatever reason, essential reason, you have to drive out to those areas just remember to slow it down as we head in towards the afternoon we'll get some clearing there and more sunshine. we are seeing some areas of cloud cover. look at the sunshine taking over all day long right around 9:00 a.m. cloud cover will turn mostly sunny and our temperature is around 69, 70 degrees. we're going to be slightly warmer than average but slightly cooler as well. so how long will this last and when are we going to see the warm-up? >> we'll see

there's vianey arana, who joins us this morning from home as we are under a micro climate weather alert. and, oh, vianey, it was pouring on my drive in this morning. >>> oh, yeah, we're going to see the heavier rain. good morning, kira. how are you? >> good, how are you? >> good, good. i'm tracking this micro climate weather alert. the rain will be more intense and we'll get a chance of thunderstorms as well. let's take a look at the current temperature in san jose. 53 degrees. as you saw with the live pic, we're seeing some of the rain. take a look at satellite radar. as i mentioned the majority of areas south of the golden gate bridge, not going to expect too much rain. it's a cold front and you can see how active the radar is. i'm zooming this in closer. you can see we have good pockets of rain pushing through gilroy, santa cruz, the peninsula, and even up to the north bay as well. we're going to keep the period of rain at times throughout the entire day today, and here's just a couple things we're monitoring for the next 24 hours. rain at times, a quarter of an inch to half an inch.
