you can see the clouds arcing up and around. that big ridge of high pressure will keep our skies clear yet again today. a comfortable afternoon. tomorrow we'll skate by with another nice day. we've got a lot of rain on the way, especially right at the coast as we head through thursday and friday. let's talk about the good stuff for today. lots of sunshine, 68 in redwood city, 67 in san francisco and 67 degrees today in oakland. as we head throughout the afternoon, this area of low pressure will start to get closer to the coast. it's a cut-off low, meaning it's cut off from the actual jet stream, the river of air that carries our systems from west to east across the united states. today we'll see sunny and warm conditions. clouds increasing just a touch ahead of the system. on thursday, take a look at what's headed our way. over the course of 11:00 p.m. thursday into 9:00 a.m. friday, we have heavy rainfall. we could see coastal flooding, could pick up rain in excess of one inch out of this system between the course of 11:00 p.m.

when i was reading this book, not just with arcs is doing, but the people around him and his strugglein the background at the 1848 results in the labor movement in the late 19th century, people were working to overcome and overthrow a system in place for thousands of years and they did it and it took a lot of time and a lot of effort and a lot of thought, but it was possible and it resulted in the life we have to most of the 20th century. and as i was reading this, i was thinking we read another one of those boys, society has changed, the world has changed and the governments and economic systems no longer fit that old model anymore. so it is time to find someone. it's time to discover and i was thinking even bigger than the marx story that i felt throughout this book that was a lesson from this but because it's not about this man in his family and angles, but it's about that century and all the changes that occurred. >> host: that helps explain why there's so much wonderfully written history of the book because i've got a great history lesson. >> guest: i hope. >> host: i thought i d
