here is what one of armstrong's supporters had to say earlier tonight. crime in the city is getting bad. when he was here, the crime rate was down. he came to the neighborhood. he he met people we seen him on a daily basis. and he he did more for the city. we all know they just missed the grant. could have gotten, which i can't understand how government can. sorry can miss that. we need money to help fight crime. the retailers are leaving. and as you can see, that meeting just letting out right now. now, i should add that we're a handful of voices here calling for a chief other than armstrong to be handed the reins of the department. some here describing tonight's meeting as less about finding a new chief and more about criticizing the mayor, mayor tao, for her part, continuing to defend her decision to oust the chief. as far as when we might expect a new chief to take the helm of this department, that's uncertain right now. but initial estimates had a new chief taking the helm of the department sometime by the end of the year. guys, back to you. yeah, b
