are you pleased with where you are and what are the analysts getting wrong? natalie i think if you look at our numbers, what you see in the fourth quarter was it was another strong quarter in terms of sales and demand and obviously, covid played a part in those numbers, so when we look at the top line, we are thrilled with what did we see on the sales line and the consumer online sales where they were up 85%? it was also a quarter where covid costs were higher, so that meant especially in the u.s. business, we didn't have the same leverage we had in previous quarters and that is part of the pandemic. as we go forward, there are one-time things in there we think will not be repeated on we are optimistic as we look at 2021, but that is part of the reality of working in covid times. there is not only the benefits, but costs that come in. matt: it has been for food shopping, a huge focus for consumers, pre-much the only focus for consumers and a lot of countries. how did you expect that to change as lockdowns lift? natalie: well, if we look at going into 2021, it

what are the ripples you are looking at?to do with digesting the bond selloff, may be people buying and saying ok, let's turn to the fed, the ecb, and see if the invisible hand to support the bond market is coming back in. we've heard that from some degree from philip lane, saying there's plenty more, west of the ecb to support a shock. this picture helping. but there still are pockets of stress. we look at the stoxx 600 down nearly 1%. this is a small cap, at one point, down almost 1%. that too has eased off .5%, still more than we've seen for the s&p 500 futures, so it really is a day were some of the momentum trades are coming off a bit. part of the reason is the higher yields. yes, it is easing. but when you get this violent move up road -- upward, you start to reevaluate your position. or if you were looking for a market to sell into, this gives you a good opportunity. so, i think it is taking money off the table at a time where you have a shocking bond move. anna: when things move quickly, who is going to get hurt? we

we are within the range that the state has said elementary schools are allowed to reopen. which is fewer than 25 new cases per 100,000. districts like oakland unified are looking to the state legislature to provide funding to help support reopening. this would provide money to districts throughout the state so they can transition back into a person learning. the district still does have to come to an agreement with their labor unions. >> to those dates seem realistic to you? >> i think they do. some people would say that is too late. many parents and families want to see is back in the classroom earlier. >> the school board has shifted gears really based on community outraged. they will stop work on renaming schools which is a multiyear equity project. they will focus solely on reopening. is a separate cisco school district any closer to an agreement on reopening? >> it has become a national story because the case rates have been so low compared to other cities that have already reopened. both sides bargain hard. the unions were calling for a trusted moderator to come in.

our budgets are under extreme stress. arts fences are skyrocketing. our essential lifesaving services are strained. the need for public assistance is through the roof. this has been going on since the beginning of the pandemic since march of last year. today, only 38 cities have received direct relief yet mayors everywhere continue to do what we do everyday. we get it done. we run our cities with a balanced budget which we are required to do by law. so what does that mean? how do we possibly do that in the face of this tremendous crisis? it means the cut jobs. it means eliminating services and staff at the same time. our first responders have been on the job since day one of this pandemic transporting those with covid to hospitals with public health initiatives keeping social and family order as tensions rise from economic and health care risk fighting crime and fighting increased drug abuse and death. while it looks like we may finally get a desperately needed national strategy for vaccine distribution of the mentation we are being called upon again
