he did not want to talk to our cameras earlier today, but this is a man who has been described as pro union. he has extensive experience in labor negotiations, some involving the nfl lockout and the mba. his presence at the table is certainly making a difference as they are optimistic about him being there tonight. and it doesn't necessarily mean that we're going to avoid a strike. earlier the members, they came out telling us that if indeed there was a strike tonight, that the final trains running at midnight, 1:00 a.m., the last trains of the day and early tomorrow morning would continue to run if indeed there was a strike and would be put away tonight. but then any trains coming after that in the very early morning commute hours would not run in case of a strike. but they certainly have strike contingency plans in place at this point. we don't know if it means that we are squarely headed towards a strike for this moment or if, indeed, there is some movement at the table. we'll continue to be out here again. we are just about, an hour and 45 minutes at this point from that midnight deadli

union leaders gathered and a number of politicians. we have been waiting for this announcement for several hours now. we have been waiting since 5:30 as talks continued inside both fbiu members and union members have been inside of this building and the word is they have been hammering out a settlement. we heard lots of hints they reached that settlement. we had no official confirmation. it's important to note that authorities are telling us earlier if a settlement was reached by 6:00 p.m. tonight, that would be in time for trains to run tomorrow. it's unclear with this announcement coming at sock, as we 10:00, or any other time tomorrow. that is still unclear. now one thing that is important to remember here is even if settlement has been reached, both unions will have to bring the proposal forward to their members before and have those members vote on that proposal and approve it. we have seen other unions not approve settlements after they were actually made. so, this is certainly a good sign that we have everyone gathered out here today. not only do we have the mayor out here today. we have gavin ne some out here today. a lot of e
