atkins injured one person this morning. the state patrol says an s-u-v rear-ended a semi in the westboundndanes of highway near 33rd avenue. that semi was just getting back onto the highway from the shoulder. an air ambulance took the s-u-v's driver to a cedar rapids hospital. we don't have that person's condition. police say aircare flew a 29 year old woman to university of iowa hospitals after a car struck her as downtown waterloo. they say amy garrrrson suffered head injuries and a possible hip fracture. the car struck her at east fourth and lafayette streets last evening. she's now in intensive care. police say the driver is not facing charges. all of iowa's congressmen and senators are co- sponsoring a bill to re-name a cedar rapids post office in honor of a fallen soldier. sergrgnt first class terryry pasker died in july of 2011 while serving in afghanistan. he was 39 and just days away from the end of his combat tour. the representativ es haven't said which post office will be renamed for pasker. west des moines coul
