fall and then after atlanta film, what's the one thing that's preserved? it's the army tennessee and that that's critical to keep in mind as long as confederate armies are mobile and active in the field. the hope of confederate independence remains alive. so, yes, atlanta is terrible for confederate fortunes, but keeping the army intact, i think is more important. and it's only franklin in nashville when the army essentially disintegrates is when you start to see in the western confederacy see civilians and soldiers throwing in the towel. but please, everybody is familiar with the general pickett's famous comment about why gettysburg lost, that the yankees had something to do with it in the west. professor bohannan, you mentioned the of tennessee is up against sherman grant but for much of its career it's actually up against rosecrans and before that buell could you on the the northern opposition in the first part of the war yet that's a very good point in that it did take time in the west for the team of of grant and in sherman even more so to come to the

things like atlanta hawks games and others. regionals are doing relatively well in the grand scheme of things. for us, what we want to try to do, as they continue to do things that we are required to do under the contract, we are going to monitor that, make sure everybody is a hearing to contract. at a point in time if there is a discussion to be had about changing that, we will address it. at this point, we are operating business as usual. i know there's been disruptions in other markets, at least in baseball, san diego and arizona. i don't know that i see that happening as quickly in atlanta, but it is something that we are very much keeping an eye on. i think baseball has a game plan to make sure that this goes right. >> we've got to go to commercial, so you've got to give me a 10 second answer here. are you bringing it home, winning the world series? >> yes, we are going to do that. knock on some wood somewhere, but i think the world series is coming to atlanta. >> i don't have any wood around me but just metaphorically ima

we have a saying in atlanta, mr. speaker, and that saying is that atlanta influences everything. and that is true in part because of marvin arrington sr.'s great work to influence the growth of atlanta. in fact, in 2019, the city council chambers were named after him to honor the tremendous impact that he had on our city. judge arrington was a member of big bethel a.m.e. church, the gate city bar association hall of fame, for 16 years he was a member of the board of trustees for emory university. he served in many roles, elected, appointed, and, yes, volunteer. but in all things he demonstrated the deep commitment to equity, justice, and empowering young people. marvin arrington sr.'s life of service and sacrifice is a reminder for everyone of the rent we pay for living in this society. atlanta is the city that i chose to call home. it was the work of leaders like marvin arrington sr. that made it the city to choose. i send my deepest condolences to his daughter, his son, and his entire family. marvin arrington sr.'s legacy was for our future leader for generations to come. i yie

this morning at a subdivision in hampton, georgia that is about 40 miles south of atlanta, for peopleeportedly killed before the gunmen took off. jonathan siri is alive in the lancet with the very latest. >> hi arthel hampton is in henry county a spokesperson for the county confirmed to associated press that four people have died in what authorities are describing as an active shooter incident. authorities say the shooting began around 10:45 a.m. this morning and dogwood lakes which is a subdivision in hampton again hampton a small city of about 8000 people located about 30 miles to the south of atlanta. as late as mid afternoon police were saying the suspect was still at large were urging the general public to avoid the area. we do expect police to release more details once the news conference gets underway. originally scheduled for 3:00 p.m. eastern this afternoon parade then pushed back to 4:00 p.m. and as you can see we are still awaiting authorities to arrive at the podium. but we expected to begin at any moment spirit in the meantime please have yet to say what led up to the sho
