it's starting to leave atlantic city.ill very heavy rain lots of lightning around ocean city, just stretching to the north of avalon but it is moving off shore fairly slowly though. cape may county atlantic county, up into parts of burlington county we have a flood advisory out for this area until 7:30. up to about 2 inches of rain have fallen so far. and we still do expect more so. flooding is possible in that area. imminent of flooding is a flash flood warning. this one includes vineland newfield, and it also stretches into parts of burlington county. this one goes until 6:45 this evening. 3 to 4 inches of rain already fallen here across the ac expressway. so flooding occurring in that area. also, a flood advisory now for parts of delaware county philadelphia, lower montgomery county. all the major interstates because of some very slow-moving storms across this area right now. so flooding could occur in these areas about an inch of rain could fall in a short period of time. that goes until 7:45 this evening. flash flood

atlantic city electric is working to restore power to 29,000 customers. that's an increase from the last time we checked at 6:30. the majority of them are in gloucester county, more than 20,000 customers. pse&g still has close to 1,200 outages. peco reports 2,300 customers without power. delmarva reports about 500 lingering outages. >>> new from overnight, a car accident in southwest philadelphia killed a man and sent two other people to the hospital. nbc 10 on the scene on island avenue at lindbergh boulevard. police investigating the accident tell us the car veered off the street and on to trolley tracks. the man who died was a passenger. we are working to find out the conditions of the driver and another passenger who were hurt. >>> in camden county a person is dead after a car crashed into a utility pole. nbc 10 was in lindenwold this morning. the accident happened on the white horse pike at united states avenue. we're working to get more details on that. here's from the delaware bureau a driver who survived a crash that killed another driver in north

gusty winds but the good sign here presently through the region is around the shore at atlantic city and south towards ocean city that has the severe thunderstorm and the severe thunderstorm warning goes into effect for the next half hour but more than likely they will cancel this warning early because the storm is basically now along the shore if not about to move out to sea that is anywhere from atlantic city to ocean city and as far south as atlantic city. 17 lightning strikes in the last 15 minutes a lot of energy with this storm with respect of lightning bolts and winds in excess of 60 miles per hour and the heaviest of the storms was off the coast, in sea isle city and the sun is poking out approaching atlantic city, and this is off the coast over the next 5 to 10 minutes and nothing now has popped behind the storm. these scattered storms that develop this evening again are hit and miss and if they do pop up lightning is the biggest concern and the torrential downpours and strong winds on the moderate side and winds and tornadoes not a risk for that for downpours or thunderstor
