joining me now is ayman mohyeldin who covered the middle east extensively.m my perspective this is a very surprising. i have covered, obviously, a lot of u.s. military involvement in the middle east and there were differences that were apparent over that particular policy and that policy being u.s. military operations both inside iraq and syria about policies there. there have been differences that have been made public between the comments that have come out of the white house and the comments that have come out of secretary of defense chuck hagel. particularly on the issue of isis. it dwoes -- goes back to the summer when isis was sweeping through syria and iraq. there was a different between what the u.s. administration thought of isis' capability and what the secretary of defense thought at the time. more importantly now there's a military operation underway in the two country, there are some differences, or at least some apparent differences whether there is mission creep. it began with people rejecting the notion of ground troops, rejecting the notion
