we have some good news in baltimore. coming in the parking lot where the gm parking lot used to be as an amazon distributorship. it's going to have 800 jobs. that's terrific but those jobs are going to pay maybe a half, maybe a third of what the unionized jobs of the general motors plant pay. we are replacing jobs but not but the kinds of benefits and pay that can support a family easily. so what has happened to baltimore's the old-time factory jobs have been drying up just as they have elsewhere in the country. they are either not here are highly mechanized with one worker operating a million-dollar machine. instead we have the new economy and amazon.com economy, the economy where warrior making less money perhaps working 40 hours a week trying to make it in a way that's very much more difficult than it used to be. it's not that there are no jobs in baltimore anymore but the kind of good factory jobs where it unionized and pay a lot of money are largely gone in baltimore and lots of other cities around the nation. >> ho
