. >> you may remember their names because our barbara harrison found them back when a difficu twist of plan to spend the rest of their lives together. >> it did. i'm here to tell you the story. you probably saw some of it on e "today"show. but you know how far back it goes. was theolidays of 2014 when amanda and frank were talking about how soon they mightet married. her boys were thrilled about that idea. but with a sore throat that seemed to be getting rse, she decided to make a third visit to the doctor on christmaseve. >> we went back into the doctor's and they stillsu spected it was the flu. they checked my vitals and they realized i was barely breathing. >> she said a nurse listened to her che and told the doctor he should take another look. >> they yelled, call 911. that's the lastemy i have of christmas eve, 2014, being wheeled o on a stretcher. call my parents this must be serious. >> by the time we saw her, she hadng tubes g everywhere, but at thahe point t weren't telling us it was strep throey, idn't know yet. theyct just said that an infen had gotten into her bloodstream.
