when bob barker says to the people in the 13th district or to america, come on down, you come on downy. i got a big election coming up in november, how do they do it? >> they do it with a couple things. one is the tone of this campaign was very important. it was not shrill. it was not a campaign to demonize the opposition but it you could about what we need to do to pull together and fight for this country. and i think that plays very, very well in every district in america. and number two is i think you have to be consistent enough in your views to be able to stand up and draw the lines where they are because republicans, i think, have a road map now that says if we can win in this district, we can win everywhere. >> sure. there was a third party candidate in your race that split a bit of the people who went out and pulled the lever. how can republicans win going forward if there is a third party? >> that was troubling up front. it didn't turn out to be a major factor. it was a libertarian factor. i think they have to not focus on what the distraction may be to their message and go s
