in the north bay... a deadly car crash took the life of a san francisco man who was on his way to celebrate his first anniversary with his wife. the tragic accident happened over the weekend on highway 29 in napa. the couple was riding in an uber, on their way to dinner.. when a woman driving on the opposite side of the highway crossed the double lines and hit the uber head on. jaryd dock passed away in front of his wife sara at the scene. sara told us they were taking the uber to be safe. <'we had a few drinks because we were in napa so we decided to take an uber instead of driving because we didn't want to hurt anyone and to be hurt, we wanted to be safe." > officials are now investigating what caused the other driver to veer onto the other side of traffic. (robin) police released new details on a shooting where one officer shot twice at a getaway car. the details were released during a town hall meeting yesterday. earlier this month ... officers responded to a pursuit after reports of a car burglary.

nbc bay area )s anoushah rasta joins us live from fremont with how a bay area congressman is wading into the controversy. anoushah. a shooting near a shopping center in the east bay today. you )re looking at video of the scene from our nbc bay area skyranger. it happened in pleasant hill on santa monica drive. that )s across from the sunvally shopping center. concord police say someone shot a man just after 11:30 this morning. witnesses saw a black sedan drive away right after. police say the people involved may have been buying marijuana. and tonight - the man is recovering in the hospital. a former "travis air force base" psychologist pleaded not guilty this morning. he )s accused of rape & sexual battery involving at least three of his patients. prosecutors say "heath sommer" preyed on some of the most vulnerable women. they were veterans suffering from ptsd & recovering from sexual assault. court documents say sommer used what he called "exposure therapy" on the women. and that he insisted they re-enact the sexual trauma. a former patient came to court to see the suspect for herself.

a mild build for the south bay. the thing we are worried about the trashy told you i would sort things out. i didn't do it but it was sorted ouxt they cleared north 101 in the last couple of minutes. we have slowing towards capitol expressway and that's not bad. 85 and 87 shows a little build as well. right here through san martin heading towards morgan hill, typical for the bay shore freeway. friends at waze told us heading towards the beach, highway 17, probably see a burst of 140% of people, that's what the meters read towards the beaches around the country. keep that in mind. we're at below 100% for this volume through fremont. that's a light drive right now as folks are probably easing off into the holiday weekend starting today and tomorrow. >> they already thinking about that. >> i'm sure they have scheduled meetings. >> it's going to be pretty nice this weekend as well. >> it's going to be a nice weekend, there are so many events and festivals to help you celebrate the holiday weekend. in san francisco there
