also in the east bay, mt. diablo wind gusts over 60 miles per hour through the p d get a look at still a red flag warning that continues this morning, that goes on until noon, and that's when the winds will start to calm down. we have very low humidity and we'll talk about that in just a second but the red flag warning means that any small spark or anything could spread rapidly if we get any flames going in the hills, especially, so all of these areas shaded in red are under a very critical time as we head through the next few hours. as we get a look at our wind speeds, once again, they will be calming down as we go throughout the day and most of the bay area by this time tomorrow morning will have some very light winds. our humidity, look at this, it is just unreal to see some of these numbers. humidity dropping down this morning to about 5% in ukiah, and clear lake at about 6%,ut there in some of the hills, so if you get a tree down on a power line or something like that, that's why we have seen pg&e turn of

the east bay and the south bay may not see much of this.oking at some spotty light showers for tomorrow afternoon and still a slight chance even on wednesday morning. as we look at how much rain to expect, for the far north bay, ukiah reaching about a tenth of an inch of rain for today and as we go into tomorrow much heavier amounts of rain with up to a half inch for san francisco and santa rosa and ukiah close to an inch of rain. the rest of the bay area once again barely measuring anything. it would be niceain moving through, hopefully get the car a little bit of a wash. we do need some rain. but then we head back into some dry weather in time for the weekend with mid 80s for the inland valleys. you're tracking two critical slow spots. >> i am. youave the washer ou talked fluid. if you get a spritz youav winds well. the roadways and they are starting to get congesteday. critical spot here, south 680, there is more slowing showing up. we talked about the disabled vehicle and they may have blocked off the slow lane south of the interchange.

the winds are light for the south bay, but in the east bay hills and the north bay mountains we're begin to see winds kicking upwards of 20-plus miles per hour. as the dry offshore winds begin to creep in, we'll see temperatures go up in toward the start of your work week, but as you head out today, 80 degrees in san jose, 82 for concord. we'll keep the 70s in san francisco, at 72 degrees. i want to talk about the extreme fire danger, because this is the reason for this microclimate weather alert. there is a red flag warning, initially a fire watch that was upgraded to a red flag warning not just for northern california but check out southern california as well. southern california will be dealing with gusty, strong, santa ana winds. traveling through the southern california area or you have family in that area, you may also want to pay attention to that as well as we head in towards tonight. now that local gusty wind is what's going to really kick up the fire concern. pair that up with low humidity levels especially overnight into tonight and into early tomorrow monday, that could be a

bay no major hot spots. bay bridge wb 80 is less then 30 min from the maze to sf.e petaluma fire department will be conducting controlled burns today on several small plots of grass in the ellis creek water recycling facility. officials say smoke will be visible around lakeville highway and schollenberger park throughout the day. the petaulma fire department is asking residents not to call 9-1-1 if they see smoke in the area. ( darya ) the berkeley city council voted to install new security cameras in san pablo park. the decision to add the cameras comes after a series of shootings in the park in the last few years. council members say the cameras will deter violence and make the park safer. but some neighbors say the cameras would give people the assumption that the park is not safe for families and that they won't deter crime from happening.

"today in the bay" garvin thomas has the story of a touching reunion in this morning's bay area proud. >> reporter: chris posi has been on thousands and thousands of calls in his nearly 30 year career as a firefighter and paramedic. sadly, some didn't end well. others, though, he discovered turned out great in ways he couldn't imagine. on a saturday morning in september a controlled explosion sent the very last remnants of the old eastern span of the bay bridge under water and forever out of sight. meaning, for those who drive over its replac
