a lot of help on the way. >>> here in the bay area, still a lot of concern over the breez the area. >> we're still dealing with relatively low humidity. at least temperatures have cooled off significantly. northern areas like santa rosa, 63 degrees at this hour. the temperatures have definitely cooled off in that area. now we're still seeing slightly warmer temperatures in the south bay. 79 degrees in san jose, but the reason the red flag warning will remain in effect through 8:00 p.m. tonight, as of now, they have not extended that, is because we're still tracking some breezy to windy conditions along with the relatively low humidity. the combination of those two things can quickly spread any fire as you've seen in the past, what's currently going on now. we'll keep a close eye on this because if we look at current wind speeds, about 12, 15 miles per hour, they do die down into the overnight hours, butom at 8 p.m. look at santa rosa, the winds begin to start gusting once again upwards of 29 miles per hour. i'll have another update as far as what we can expect heading into the workwee

we are in the middle of a wonderful conversation about a study conducted in the bay area. reintroduce you. julie is at the san francisco based jewish community federation and endowment foundation and rabbi castner is at the foundation from the east bay. welcome back. >> thanks. >> talking about the basics around the jewish population study, i am wondering what are some things we can say about this particular jewish community at this point in time? >> there is a lot to say about the jewish community. we use the portrait really to assess the state of our community, the fitness, the well being, and to do some meaning making. what we can say about our community is that it's extraordinarily diverse. it is stable, and we are seeing a lot of movement within the bay area. we have a lot of young jews who are looking to find ways to connect to community in different ways. >> do we know sort of how the population age pie kind of cuts in terms of age and race, immigration status, and that sort of a thing? >> yeah. we know a lot. in terms of the pie, the largest percentage of our popula

so we're quickly seeing the warm -- the warmer temperatures across the bay area. but your day time highs are going to be in the 90s for the south bay so already in the 70s and further inland in the 80s. but predicting a high of 91 for san jose. and in the east bay, 101 degrees for concord. antioch 102. so these will be some of the warmest spots throughout the bay area. not just for today but even as we head into tomorrow. as far as the peninsula goes, we're talking about a mix. so san mateo will in the be 80s and upper 80s for redwood city and one of the hottest spots but along the coastline, that is your relief trying to get away from the heat. if you are heading into the city today, we will be on the warmer side topping out into the 70s. santa rosa a high of about 92 for the north bay. so right to the spare the air alert. this will remain in place for not just today but also for tomorrow. the reason for that is because the east bay and the south bay are deelging with unhealthy air quality which means you should limit outdoor exposure if possible. not recommended
