the tolls on most bay area bridges may be going up again in december, when the bay area toll authorityeets. it's expected to vote on raising toll rates at all seven state owned toll bridges, including the bay bridge, antioch, benicia, carquinas, dumbarton, richmond, san rafael and the san mateo bridges. starting in january, the toll may go up each year for the next six years. fastrak users would pay slightly less than those who don't have fastrak. unlike previous toll increases, this would not need voter approval. >> the toll bridges are really critical to the region's economy, and the number one job of the authority is andy mentioned, is to maintain those in a state of good repair. >> the transit commission says the toll increases are needed to pay for maintenance to preserve the bridges and make up for lost revenue during the pandemic, because there were fewer drivers crossing the bridges. right now, just over half of the current toll is paid for the bridges, while the rest pays for regional transit projects. the proposal includes raising tolls by $0.50 a year for passenger vehicles

the workhorse of the morning commute looks like the bay bridges moving along on time at the 7 o'clock hour. speaking of commuting all eastbound lanes of 5.80, on the richmond, sandra fell bridge are back open this morning. the right hand lanes were closed wednesday night for some repayment work that closure lifted at 07:00am. and tonight, both east and westbound lanes, sections of them. several of those lanes will be shut down for construction once again. caltrans is prepared to close the northbound connector ramp in san francisco throughout the weekend. you can see here on the map. this is going to be right around 7 streets, right where teammates are one-on-one me to a t it'll start tonight at 10 o'clock in the last until monday morning. the agency says they have to work on that ramp to repair some concrete barriers and railings that have been dinged up and damaged crashes over the years. significant delays are expected all weekend long. so factor that in if you'll be in the area. 7.18, time now. let's talk news for your money this morning. toyota says it won't sponsor any more lgbtq
