chris the live in bellefonte, pennsylvania, with details of the attorneys' approach. good morning, chris. >> reporter: good morning. we have some new developments at the sandusky trial. just a few moments ago the judge in this case let the jury go home for the day. he told them that they had some technical details they had to work out with some witnesses, and so the judge released the jury right around 2:00 here. the judge also announced a new timetable for this trial, saying that things are moving quickly. he expects the defense in this case to continue calling witnesses and through noon on wednesday. he said after that he will have closing arguments on thursday morning, possibly charging the jury thursday afternoon, then the jury could have this case as early as thursday afternoon or even friday. he did tell the jury that they will be sequestered during their deliberations. so that could be coming towards the end of this week. now, the defense has already called a couple of witnesses today. what they're expected to do that they have not done yet, however, is introdu

jerry sandusky arrived at the court house in bellefonte, pennsylvania about 25 minutes ago.s attorneys are expected to meet with the judge to take care of some housekeeping before the trial gets under way. sandusky is charged with sex abuse. prosecutors are expected to call eight alleged victims to the stand to testify against him. the first one expected to go up today after opening statements is being called victim number 4, he's expected to testify today that he was molested by jerry sandusky more than 50 times, of course sandusky is charged with molesting ten young men over a period of about 15 years. the defense's strategy looks like it's going to be to discredit the witnesses claiming that they are looking to file civil lawsuits against sandusky to get money from him but right now it looks like there are at least eight witnees lined up to testify against him. >> there is strength in numbers. these other eight who are going to say the same thing over and over, the same pattern of grooming and what they claim happened to them, will tend to corroborate all of the others. >
