and as we take a big look at the beltway, overall beltway lanes looking quite good. >>> right now fairfax county police are trying to track down the driver in a deadly hit and run near capella avenue and shiplett boulevard in burke. megan mcgrath is there live now with the latest on this investigation. >> reporter: well, police say that the victim was walking along the curb here on boulevard last night when for whatever reason he then stumbled into the road. one car was able to swerve and avoid him, but a second car described as a dark sedan hit the 33-year-old man. according to witnesses, the driver of that striking vehicle paused briefly and then drove away. left the scene before police arrived. unfortunately, not a lot of information to go on in terms of the make and lookout for the vehicle. just only described as a dark sedan. it is possible that there could be some damage as a result of the collision. now, this all happened around 9:00 last night here on shiplett boulevard near the intersection with capella avenue. anyone with information, you're asked to call fairfax county police.
