all of the highways, 95, schuylkill, in new jersey, 676, 42 freeway, ben franklin bridge not doing great the ben reason why we are seeing such a heavy westbound delay we are dealing with an overturned flood bed that has lost its lumber. say that nine times fast. a flatbed that lost its lumber to the westbound side of the ben that has been blocking two right lanes for quite sometime, delaying westbound side of the ben quite a bit actually all the way back into new jersey, down 676, through the 42 freeway and that is not it. we are just seeing major problems because here's a look the at 42 freeway. forty-two northbound delay all the way back to 55 affecting 295 and 55 if you are trying to get to the 42 freeway. in short give yourself more time there. also on the 42 freeway, on 295 the left lane is block because of an accident, add to go that volume we saw in the previous shot, delaying things on 295, beyond the area of the black horse pike basically back toward the white horse pike and you do want to watch out for an accident on 76 eastbound at conshohocken on the shoulder but you add to g

matt delucia is live on the ben franklin parkway. that one philadelphia student who's racing today used rubbing to take control of his life. >> reporter: rosemary, this high school junior used running really to get off the couch and get back into shape. he's part of a group called students run philly style. when it comes to getting off the couch, running really is the best medicine. >> it's been great. and it's just shown me stuff that i never knew i could do before. >> reporter: one look at matthew lopez and it's hard to believe just two years ago, he was a lot bigger. that is, until he started running. at first, it started as a way for me to lose weight to get back in shape. because i was very big freshman year, until now. >> reporter: his teacher saw a change soon after matthew hit his first mile. >> he has this light in his eyes. he keeps talking about the next run and he wants to go further. >> reporter: matthew was more disciplined. his studies improved and he was eating better. now he's a role model for fellow classmates. some

we have an accident and this is a live look at the ben franklin bridge. no reports of delays on any of the local bridges. chris? >>> new from overnight, an increase in incidents like this. hotel guests were forced out of their rooms because of a carbon monoxide leak. matt delucia is on the scene there in concord township. matt, what is going on there? >> the hotel guests that are back inside were forced out right around midnight because carbon monoxide was found inside the building here at the best western, along baltimore pike. we'll show you video of what it looked like. within the past couple hours as firefighters vented the gas, the cause was found a malfunctioning heater and the readings were high enough to keep all the guests out of the building for a few hours. this is right at concordville inn to give you some perspective. the carbon monoxide was discovered quickly enough so no one was hospitalized. because it is very cold more and more people are running the heaters and that has been found to be the cause of many of these carbon monoxide leaks, j

temple plays that night at 7:30 and lots of sunshine, breezy, 54. >>> it was a party fit for ben franklin and the mummers. celebrating philadelphia culture was the theme last night at the looking out for kids fundraiser in elkins park. the event featured a silent auction to benefit the program which provides free eye exam screenings and glasses to school children in philadelphia and montgomery counties. a really fantastic event out there. the eighth year for it. good work that they're doing. another good cause in philadelphia yesterday. thousands of folks hit the streets to raise money to help find a cure for diabetes. the rain and chilly temperatures didn't prevent them from participating in the stepout walk to stop diabetes at the art museum yesterday morning. team nbc 10 was among the walkers bundled up there. philly's own patti labelle was there. she is a diabetic and an advocate for awareness of the disease. >> you know, i have diabetes, but diabetes doesn't have me. and like i said, for 20 years. but i'm taking less medicines now for my diabetes, because i'm becoming a better diabet
