we have about 3,000 up in bergen county and we have about 4,000 in central new jersey. the 4,000 folks in central new jersey should be restored by the afternoon this afternoon and we'll see up in bergen county i would assume that will be the end of the day today as well although the president of the bpu will continue to monitor that very closely and working with the folks in bergen county to make sure their power gets restored quickly. the d.e.p. reports the high tide this morning was survived very well by the people of cape may county. minor to moderate flooding, street flooding. we don't see any significant property damage happening in cape may county. folks did have to leave because of lack of power in barrier harbor, north wildwood. those folks went and sheltered with friends and family, others went to hotels where generators were operating. we are happy to report no deaths in new jersey connected with the storm. we for today i think the most important thing is for everybody to remember if you go out on the roads, you know, please respect important. because there is

the fire quickly caught and just ripped through these buildings out here on bergen street. firefighters rushed to the scene. this was a third alarm fire. there were reports earlier on that firefighters did have some trouble getting out but they were able to pull everybody out of the fire scene. only some minor injuries but a number of people that live inside those buildings have been displaced by this fire. the buildings looked like they're completely destroyed, have been gutted completely. the woman that owned the building here at 212 bergen street told me there had been another fire and the building right next door back in october. she said there was another roofing incident that started a fire and they were still in litigation to try to get money back from that and this is what happened earlier this afternoon. once again, everybody that was in the building, they were able to get out. a lot of people were at work and that was very fortunate of course but they're coming home now to find that their buildings and homes have been destroyed. that's the latest live from newark.

we have 3,000 up in bergen county and four thousand in central new jersey.sand folks in central new jersey will be restored by the afternoon this afternoon and we'll see up in bergen county i assume that would be the end of the day as well. the president of the bpu is monitoring that closely and working with the folks in bergen county to make sure power gets restored quickly. dep reports that the high tide was survived by the people in cape may county. only minor to moderate flooding mostly street flooding. we don't see significant property damage in cape may county. folks had to leave because of lack of power like sea isle, avalon, stone harbor, north wildwood. for those folks they went and sheltered with friends and family, some went to local hotels where generators were operating in order to stay warm. we are happy to report there were no deaths in new jersey connected with the storm. i think today the most important thing for everybody to remember if you go out on the roads respect the speed limits very important. the roads are slick it's cold. we may ha
