this happened along 53rd and berks in wynnefield. a car with three people inside drove up to the victim who was riding a bike and someone in the vehicle opened fire. the officers are look for the people involved. >>> now to an nbc 10 exclusive. we spoke to a man who helped point police toward a person of interest in the disappearance of a cape may conte boy more than 20 years ago. 11-year-old mark himebaugh vanished in 1991. it's also the area where the man in a police sketch was seen talking with mark himebaugh shortly before he disappear. daniel coll a former prosecute told nbc 10's ted greenberg that the man in the sketch is a former client of his, convicted child predator thomas butcavage. >> are you positive this is the boy you saw in the video? >> yes, i am. i said that looks like the boy from south jersey. tommy told me it was him. he confessed to me and said it was him. i said what did you do with him. he said i did like i did the rest of them i dispose of them. >> police believe it was coll who triggered an initial investiga

we have some really heavy rain coming into berks county, the western portion of berks just west of reading. this is an area that's already had probably more than two inches of rain in some spots so there could be flooding in that area. another batch just west of allentown right along i-78. this is moderate to heavy. it's headed up toward the pocono mountains. as you can see, there's more back to the west. some big storms in northeastern maryland and even bigger ones farther to the west. those are things we will have to watch through the evening hours because the future cast weather computers showing hour by hour that there will be more heavy showers and storms coming in later on this evening from that western area that we just showed you coming in perhaps even in the middle of the night. we did get up to 90 degrees just barely in philadelphia today, extending the heat wave, but it's down to 79 right now with that rain. we will talk more about when the rain moves out, what to expect for the weekend with the rest of the seven-day in a few minutes. >> stay on top of the storms tonight with th

several 911 calls brought police here to this block on the 5300 block of berk street and just behind us is where police found that man, as you mentioned shot in the head, medics were on the scene a short time later there were reports of the several gunshots fired that came in just before midnight police say. police arrived here to the scene and found that young victim now described as a john doe believed to be in his late teens, early 20's. his body was found lying on the street straddling a bike police say and it appears that the victim was riding a week or sitting on that bike when he was shot. crime scene unit work the scene on berks for hours and then they were able to uncover some clues about that gun. >> ballistic evidence on the scene indicates that the shooter fired at least three shots from the semiautomatic weapon. we found three large caliber spent shell casings all just several feet from where victim's body collapsed which is an indication that this shooter, fired these three shots from point blank range. >> reporter: there again a live look at where that young man lost h

a few showers especially north and west, lehigh valley, berks county had the most. some heavy rain overnight for most of us and thunderstorms tuesday for some of us. later in the afternoon. it's been cloudy pretty much all day, helping to keep temperature down. 76 degrees, the humidity fairly high and tomorrow, well, we might see a little more sunshine. temperatures only at 68 degrees in west chester. we've had rain there off and on for several hours. reading had a good bit of rain. we are in the mid 70s in southern delaware and atlantic city right now. with the wind coming onshore, it can't really warm up much beyond this, mid 70s, the ocean temperature in the mid 70s. here are the sprinkles, not much more than sprinkles anymore now. you can see in montgomery county into the philadelphia area so not going to be getting rained on very hard over the next couple of hours. you can see, that's the first rain of the day getting into some sections of philadelphia. some of this is hard and in the reds, that's heavy rain, big thunderstorms there, that whole system is moving

it it rolled out of berks county and it's now moving across montgomery county into bucks county.s actually intensifying. we had 73 lightning strikes in the past 15 minutes. if you live in war chester or lansdale you probably have scared dogs and children in your house. this is pulling tremendous rain. right here on this line crossing blue route we have rain falling at the rate of 2" per hour and that also is creating wind gusts. when you sew we had wind gusts 0 to 40 miles an hour ahead of a cold front sweeping through in the overnight hours. nrosh flood warping posted until 3:00 in the morning for this area, parts of montgomery, and bucks county flash flooding is already occurring and we could get another inch or inch and a half of rain fortunately this time of night a lot of people are not on the roads. this is the reason why dew points show ultra humid it is tropical out there. dew point in wilmington 47. dover 77. you get much higher. temperatures show it's a warm night now, 70s. 79 in philadelphia down from high of 90. sixth day of heat wave number four. wilmington 38 and 75

this is mainly from the poconos down to allentown, then into reading and berks county. these are be very isolated here. we could see some moderate downpours for the poconos. as we progress the model, all of that activity stays just in those areas. money of it makes it down to philadelphia or parts of south jersey. this will continue until midnight. then things clearing up. that's going to give way to lots of sunshine as we head into monday. we will see a few clouds develop throughout monday morning. we, again, will see a lot of sunshine heading into the rest of today and tomorrow. temperatures are going to be a little bit warmer than what we saw yesterday ranging between 88 and 91. sunny and hot and more humid. you'll notice humidity will swing up a bit. i'll go over how long the hot condition als will stick around coming up. >>> police in texas are trying to figure out what led up to the execution style murder of a sheriff's deputy. we'll explain one of their theories. >>> plus the republican party or a third party? what the donald has to say about his political affili

we have a couple coming in to berks county, not quite to reading yet. but within the next hour, the other showers in lancaster will take another hour or two, even, to make it into chester county. to the west of that, we've got a couple thousand miles of dry air that's going to be moving in. so future cast hour by hour, you can see most of the activity, well, most of us not getting rained on during the night tonight. in new jersey or delaware, you are likely to get it well after midnight or maybe even first thing in the morning when you get up. toward the shore. but then it's drying from philadelphia north and west. the humidity is going down, it will be a beautiful afternoon and the start of something really nice. now, danny is back over my shoulder. this is the new development and we may be hearing more about this coming up as early as this evening. sheena will have the update on that at 11:00 tonight when it will probably be either a depression or already tropical storm erica. chance of showers through the night tonight. most of us not getting wet. 70

overnight philadelphia police, stood watch on the 5300 block of berks, this street intersection is a crime scene where police found a young man gunned down. >> upon police arrival we found a male in his early 20's, he was shot at least one time in his head, and medics pronounced him dead on the scene at 12:04 a.m. >> reporter: victim first identified as a beyond dough was sitting honor perhaps, riding a bicycle moments before his death, when he was discovered police tell us his body was still straddling that bike and found nearby possible clues about a shooter. >> we found three large caliber spent shell casings, all just several feet from where the victim body had collapsed which is an indication that the shooter fired these three shots from point blank range. >> reporter: homicide detectives spoke with witnesses at the the crime scene as they called the scene. >> from the witnesses, the the shooter, after firing the the shots entered a dark colored vehicle that was occupied by two other males. the suspect and two other male where is last seen in the dark colored sedan-type vehicle

this is mainly confined to parts of berks county, the lehigh valley and into the poconos. by 5:00 p.m., we will see more moisture moving in this will linger closer to midnight. these are really isolated, stray showers, not producing a whole lot of rainfall. heading into tomorrow, you will notice more clouds once again, then another chance to see a few more spotty showers by 5:00 p.m. after that, things clear up nicely. but our temperatures won't drop. we'll continue to see warmer temperatures as we head into the rest of next week. as far as rehoboth beach is concerned, temperatures at 86 and warm. cape may, 85 atlantic city, we'll stay warm, mid 80s. beautiful down the shore warm water temperatures a little warmer, hotter conditions if you stay close to the city. 91 in philadelphia. 91 in northeast philly. 88 in pottstown. temperatures at 89 in allentown. sunday forecast shows we warm up more as we head into monday. we stay hot heading into next week. we'll see a mix of sun and clouds for most of the week, staying dry, then not quite as hot heading into saturday. >>> still
