snow is starting to set up near berks county and the poconos.hese are the areas that will see the highest accumulation because they're seeing the snow for the longest period of time. here we go tracking through 7:00 a.m. now we're getting into your morning commute. the snow has passed through philly. this isn't just a white or a light blue. this is a deeper blue we're seeing on our future radar because this is the more steady to heavy snow we're expecting, meaning visibility may drop as you're driving to work as well. the snow line starts to drop farther south. we see a rain-snow mix move into parts of new jersey and delaware. that's at 7:00 a.m. right into your very early afternoon, noon to 1:00 p.m., we'll see this snow. then it starts to move out of philly. around 2:00 to 3:00, it is going to move offshore so by 7:00 p.m. we have moved out. we are bitterly cold and windy and we're looking at snow that's accumula accumulated. that purple 6 to 10 inches we are expecting through the poconos, through the lehigh valley and berks county, even into

notice this widespread area of pink shading from berks county into lehigh county and up into the poconosnues, time rolling on 9 o'clock in the morning, this model is a little bit more aggressive with those ice accumulations. you can see extending that freezing rain time frame all the way into midday and the into the afternoon hours in portions of the poconos. we'll see the steadiest rain in philadelphia, south jersey and down the shore in the morning tomorrow, then starting to taper a little bit as we head into the afternoon. and in these areas to the far northwest we could see this events ending as some snow fall but again the main concern is going to be that icing and as we head into monday morning conditions clearing out but yes some of these models giving us significant icing projections. this might be on the lower end as we look up towards the carbon and monroe county tomorrow. check out some of these numbers. we could see upwards of a quarter inch maybe more than that locally in some areas and then we could see some snow accumulation on the end of this, this is through the day on s

here is a live look right now at the reading berks county area. temperatures have been dropping. few flakes have been falling. yesterday we had highs in the 60s, even low 70s, but certainly it is a shock to the system. take a look at ultimate doppler you can see the swat of moisture moving west to east. the green, that's all rain, that's in parts of south jersey, even in philadelphia, still looking at that rainfall, but once you move into berks county, the lehigh valley, the poconos, that is where we have already gun to see the transition from rain over to snow. so kind of take a tour across the area, and show you what we're watching. we're watching those temperatures, watching that precipitation right now. take a look at places like allentown, mount pocono, dealing with some of the transition snow right now. also, looking at the critical temperatures. so as we zoom in closer right now, see what we're watching. keeping tabs on the temperatures, and also those snowfall rate. it will create it own environ tonight support the snow. take a look at allentown, moving toward mount pocon

same case in berks county. northern delaware we topped at 70 degrees in philadelphia today.nd as we head into the overnight period, temperatures are going to continue to drop on that like a rock. we're already down to 46 degrees in wilmington, 44 in allentown, at the freezing mark in mount pocono but feeling more like 20's at this hour because of the blustery conditions winds out of the northwest up about 15, 16, 17, 22 miles per hour with those higher gusts as well. we're seeing wind gusts up to that 20 miles per hour range but unfortunately these winds will keep up as we head throughout the overnight period and those temperatures continue to drop all the way down to 37 degrees in the city, windy conditions and still blustery as we head throughout our sunday. temperatures much closer to average at 46 degrees. mostly sunny conditions with a few patchy midday clouds looping in. tomorrow will be chilly getting a little taste of some canadian air. lidgeing can will return into the jet stream. monday, tuesday, wednesday, temps will be climbing. wednesday marks the start of march

the snow has pushed through allentown, hamburg, northern berks county, reading has changed over to snow within the last half-hour or so. the snow line is moving to the south. the initial cover annual -- coverage of snow may have a hard time getting on road surfaces like reading because we were so mild yesterday, and we're looking at rain around southern berks county. as some of the heavier bands come in, you can see them highlighted in purple, as they come in, they will make the roads slushy and maybe totally snow covered as we look at the side streets and secondary roads that have not seen as much travel. in the i-95 corridor it's all rain. heavy steadier rain in parts of chester county and oxford and new castle county, delaware, this rain is moving more or less north and northeast, so, as this wraps through that's a lot of rain. this heavy rain is extending expending the heavier snow. in the i-95 corridor it won't be as bad, because we have rain, but once we changeover it will accumulate. we're looking at a quick drop over the neck couple of hours, closer to the freezing mark at 6:00
