bertha gave us results. bonawyn, what do you make of the quarter? why did they do this on a friday night? >> first off, great trade, steve. very well executed. in terms of why they decided, to i don't know why. i'm not even going to begin to guess. for me there was no positive set up to doing so. made any nervous, clearly made steve nervous, made a lot of investors nervous. but when you start to parse the numbers -- i'm going to drag in the last quarter as well. yes, the revenues were slightly light, but when you look at gross margins around 70%, and reported increased operating margins by about 5%. all that along with the free crash flow. last 12 months was $2.7 billion. all of that helps to offset the fact that they do have customers that are looking to defer payment. that's going to start to stretch out working capital. but the fact this they're so free cash flow positive allows them to do that. we talked a lot about the performance of the nasdaq recently coupled with rate volatility. what you want and what you're getting from this company is arr

bertha coombs joins us with more. hey, bertha. >> yeah, this is a landmark day.ctors and medical care but under the intphraeubgs reduction act for the first time, the agency has not been given the authority to negotiate drug prices. the first ten drugs for negotiation under medicare part d prescription plans this morning, and some of the names were some we were expecting. ella kweus, that's a blood thinner. j januvia, intres yo, and empwreul which is for diabetes, i believe. and stau laura, and then a number of diabetes drugs there as well. the company says the selected drugs accounted for $50.5 billion in total part d gross prescription drug costs, and 20% of the total programs between june 1st, 2022 and may 31st, 2023. so essentially the second half of last year and more or less the first half of this year. the process now begins with the october 1st drug companies, they will have until then if they want to respond into negotiations, the actual negotiations, the back and forth discussions will begin in february and last through august 1st, and then a year from
