joining us now, senior politics editor for nbc news and msnbc, beth fouhy. beth, good morning! it's great to see you early on this thursday. i'd actually like to start with the coronavirus relief deal, because it does look like it is finally in sight. and the reality here is democrats made some compromises with republicans, partly because they believe that there's going to be even more relief coming once joe biden takes office. and there are some progressives who have been grumbling that they gave up too much, that democratic leaders gave up too much, and that it's going to be harder than many believe to get more relief out the door. what's your sense of how this compromise came together and whether it's going to be something that can actually hold the country together until this vaccine can actually get out to folks? >> hey, kasie. look, it's great news, actually, that this compromise came together. i mean, this is the way politics is supposed to work, legislation is supposed to work. it hasn't really worked this way for quite a long time. and capitol hill, as you know, has be
