five weeks, numerous businesses in the town were targeted--the latest case happening yesterday at bethune elementary school. deputies say jeremy woodall was arrested after investigators found items that linked him to the crimes. he's charged with multiple second-degree burglary. deputies say woodall has previously been arresesd by for burglary and was released from prison last fall. a long-running battle between the city of columbia and the city's only sex shop may be coming to an end. the city has ordered taboo--on devine street---to shut down by friday. a store spokesman says the order follows a ruling by a federal judge last month upholding the city's efforts to force taboo out of business. city leaders began working to close the adult store shortly after it opened in december of 2011. the city says taboo is violating zoning rules---and if it does not close february 5th, its owner will be fined $500 a day and possibly face 30 days in jail for each day it remains open. throughout the evening and early this morning, the suspect broke into several locations including bethune elementary where he stole a safe. deputies say the suspect whose identity has not been released was captured a short time later. the friend of accused charleston church shooter dylann roof says he wants to delay a pretrial joey meeks says he wants the february 11th hearing put off until the court's may term. that's until government prosecutors have provided all of their evidence to his defense team. meek waived his right to a speedy trial. prosecutors say meek lied to investigators, failed to report all he knew about roof's plans. now, if convicted, meek faces as many as three years in prison on the prison charge and five years for lying to investigators. meek is currently out on bond. well, following the charleston church shooting, survivors of the tragedy are honoring the emanuel nine by sharing the power of faith. survivors and family members of the victims joined students and faculty at benedict college to discuss the tragic events of june 17th. family membersrs of the victims say

the man suspected of killing johnson and hurting two other bethune-cookman university went before a judge. wesh 2' s matt lupoli tells us how loved ones are coping. >> i just want justice for my son and for the other two kids. reporter: donkevious johnson' s mother tells wesh by phone she' s devastated by the loss of a son she says anchored her family. >> he was the person that kept everybody together. reporter: before a shooting took his life, don' kevious played one year of football at bcu in 2014 and continued to study he was also the new dad of a four-month old daughter. ask -- >> he was planning on proposing to his baby' s mother. reporter: the shooting took place outside a country club off campus. police say it stemmed from an argument that got out of hand. two other bcu students were also seriously injured,trey williams and justine cunngingham, they' re both recovering. police say suspect lamont postell junior is responsible, and he surrendered to police and was booked into the volusia county jail where he' s being held without bond on murder charges. don' kevious' mother tells us
