fulcher's bill. this legislation would greatly enhance the collaborative spheurdship with tribal and county partners. this passed out of our committee unanimously and pass this in similar fashion on the house floor today. the federal government owns 460 million acres and 28% of the entire country. states, tribes and counties have an interest how these lands are managed. those that are mismanaged, there is no clear example than the forest help and wildfire affecting vast swaths. fires no boundaries between managed lands and unmanaged lands. as federal land managers struggle to address this problem, congress empowered states to have forest management efforts. the forest service and bureau of land management had the ability of states to undertake restoration projects and habitat improvement and road restoration on federal lands within their borders. this program for states has been very successful. since 2014, over 490 projects had begun in 48 states. last year, approximately 274 board feet of timber we
