emily: jeff bezos recently went on an 11 minute trip to space with blue origin, and you helped us narratecoverage so well. thank you. we were the first to interview him on the ground. i asked him about the skeptics and the critics who say, why are you investing in space when your time could be better spent helping us on earth? take a listen to his response. >> what we are doing is we are building infrastructure. we are building a road to space so future generations can build the future. we live on this beautiful planet. it is the most beautiful planet in the solar system by far. and we have to keep it safe and protect it. the way to do it is slowly over decades is to move all heavy industry, all polluting industry into space. that is what we are going to do so we can keep this planet the gem that it is. emily: do you think bezos's idea is, a, realistic, and b, the real solution? moving industry to space? chad: this is really long-term. it's a goal to work towards, certainly. i like this idea of zoning earth residential. there is already talk of moving heavy industry off planet. the space

so if nasa and esa and russia, jaxa, china, united launch alliance, spacex and blue origin. now, these are all capable agencies, entities, that can carry out future of space and to that list we may add india, a combination of saudi emirates maybe, australia, possibly the koreas. so this next step space alliance can be a rallying point for not just return to the moon or going -- reestablishing a presence, a permanent presence on the moon, in a way that logically builds forward to mars, because we make it happen that way. we look at what we might want to do at mars and then i think we will do that at the moon. the little detail is that there's ice crystals at the moon and with a little power, nuclear reactor maybe, we get water and water we can separate into oxygen, hydrogen fuel. why is everybody focused at mars on methane? just because there are a bunch of global warming guys that want to use up the c02 in the atmosphere on mars, do you think that's the reason? >> we'll see. >> look, if the best fuel, oxygen and hydrogen, high performance, works at the moon, we should work t
