bob redell is live there at the closure for us this morning. bob? chp porter: marcus, initially thought westbound 37 here would be open this morning. eastbound coming towards us is open. westbound both lanes still shut down. you can see why, the floodwaters there. the water just won't subside wi happen. could be closed over the weekend. one officer says we are completely at the mercy of mother nature. now, first glance you might be looking at floodwater thinking i can drive through that and you might but not everyone else. it is one to two feet deep, enough to stall the air intake in some cars. a few things are causing the road to flood. you can see from nbc bay area sky ranger yesterday's storm caused a levee along the novato creek to break and sending tons of water this way and drainage from the hills from the storm and the fact that that is tidal basin. >> there's nowhere for the water to go so we have a 600-acre field over here yesterday that filled up inotal full and absolutely nowhere for the water to go other than in to rushing . >> reporter:
