senator bob casey plans to meet with lgbt leaders in pittsburgh to talk about ways to prevent similaracks in the future. the senator will start by unveiling a new bill aimed at keeping guns out of the hands of people who have been convicted of hate crimes in the past. before sunday morning's shooting, the rampage at virginia tech university was the worst shooting. a 23-year-old student shot and killed 32 people before taking his own life. 17 other people were injured. now orlando joins the list of cities whose names are now synonymous with mass shootings. last december, a couple opened fire at a social services center in san bernardino, california, killing 14 people. last june, dylann roof shot and killed nine african-american church members during a bible study group in south carolina. in december of 2012, 26 people, including 20 first graders were killed in a massacre at sandy hook elementary school in connecticut. in july of 2012, james holmes shot and killed 12 people and injured 70 others in an aurora, colorado, movie theater. sadly, that list goes on. stay with nbc 10 for the la
