paramedics climb a 225-foot bodega bay cliff. a rescued 4-year-old boy is in the basket conscious and crying after taking what could have been a deadly fall. miraculously the boy missed the water and landed on the beach. he was stranded for about an hour before a firefighter spotted him this evening. the boy's family was on a hike and he was throwing rocks near a trail when his mother said he disappeared and she realized he had fallen off the bluff. authorities say the child had major injuries and was being transported to a santa rosa hospital. it's unclear exactly what those injuries were. this is the second fall since saturday in this area. a 23-year-old woman also fell from a cliff here. her injuries were moderate. >>> 18,000 nurses at kaiser will walk off the job at 7:00 tomorrow morning. it's a two-day strike at kaiser hospitals and clinics in northern california to demand better protection against ebola. kaiser says it's been working nonstop to insure ebola safety and called the strike irresponsible. in new y ctor kaiser's

reporting in bodega bay alecia reid kron 4 news. a woman is under arrest and an officer is recovering. after leading police on a dangerous chase. through danville and san ramon. police say the san jose woman stole a car. officers spotted the woman at a gas station in san ramon. they say an office demanded she surrender at gunpoint. that's when she got in the car and drove into danville. when cornered she hit the officer's car head on. she was charged with a number of crimes related to the chase. two drivers remain hospitalized. after they were injured in a head-on collision in petaluma one passenger in the crash was treated and released from the hospital. it happened around 9:15 on lakeville highway between pineview way and browns lane. the two drivers suffered multiple fractures to the legs and torso. but they are expected to recover. police say it does not appear that alcohol played a role in the crash. many people who rode muni got a trip back in time today. this is muni heritage weekend and for most of the day you could ride his
