president miguel: commissioner borden? commissioner borden: i think that commissioner suygaya and olague pretty much said what i would say. it's a great project. we really appreciate you that worked with the community, that you already, with the other projects you're in charge of, done a great job of making them a high standard of residential hotels. i've had the privilege of touring many of the residential hotels in the city. in the late 1990s i worked on legislation related to the hotels. i've seen a lot of the interior of them, hotels that have not been upgraded compared to hotels that have been upgraded and have walked and delivered meals on thanksgiving to residential hotel tenants and there's a huge disparity about the quality of conditions in which people live and what is our de facto affordable housing in this city because we don't really have much so i applaud you to providing great spaces and working with the neighborhood. i also agree with you about attaching conditions and get upset when we are being discrimina

commissioner borden: there was an item on december 5 "conical" newspaper in the real estate column, and it makes reference to a project to a building -- the december 5 "chronicle" newspaper. i contacted the zoning administrator because i was concerned. we often have people come before the commission saying that it was a shock to us that it was a single family home. our zoning administrator contacted the realtor, who said that the newspaper misrepresented what was conveyed. i wrote a letter to the newspaper asking them to print my letter to the editor pointing out that. indeed, the property is actually zoned for five units. not only is it sold for five units, it was turned down for a dwelling unit merger in 2005 by this commission. the newspapers did -- the newspaper said they are not the real estate police and that the properties and a listing. we checked it. the point is if you see something advertised in the paper even on the real-estate page, the likelihood is that it is owned in a way for multiple dwelling units and that you should check into that because we do not like the demoliti
