boris sanchez is at the durksen senate building. suzanne malveaux, it looks like you're on the move now actually. >> we're on the move. a lot of people don't know where we're headed to, where they are going. the general consensus is that it could be the white house. of course, lafayette park. but it's just a really kind of organic protest that is happening here at the lincoln memorial. thousands of people. it was very empassioned and you get a sense there are not a lot of leaders in terms of the movement itself but really just young people who are trying to express themselves, who want to express themselves who took to the megaphone, the bullhorn and just started talking to one another. at one point it was singing the black national anthem, "lift every voice and sing." and then an answer, a response to the black lives lost at the hands of police. there was a very moving, touching moment of a young man, a teacher who i met. and he went before the crowd. he said he was really nervous and really afraid for what he was going to say. and

and boris sanchez, i start there with you in washington. tell me what you are seeing. is it peaceful? >> reporter: brooke, so far it has been peaceful. i'm giving you an idea of what wee see behind this massive eight foot fence installed around lafayette park at the front step of the white house. protesters now have lined up, pressed up against the fence trying to send a message to these law enforcement officers, they lined up in a sort of ominous formation, at different points they were much closer to the fence and it appeared they were getting ready for movement and then they moved further back and the crowd started clapping. it is still unclear what this is for. this massive eight foot fence has done a good job of keeping anybody out and nobody is eager to get into lafayette park. for the most part this is peaceful. i haven't seen any throwing projectiles or threats made to law enforcement they've just been chanting names like breonna taylor and george floyd. they've been trying to get the law enforcement officers to kneel in solidarity and they've laid down on the

boris sanchez, cnn, atlanta. >> even with the video, prosecutors have a lot to consider as they decidehether to charge the former officer with murder. cnn legal analyst joey jackson breaks is down for us. >> was the officer who fired the shot in immediate fear of death or serious physical injury? prosecutors will analyze that question closely and look to see how much time the officer had to react. number two, did the force the officer used, was it proportionate to the threat that rayshard posed at that time and number three, whether or not he acted reasonably, the officer under the question. there are people who can agree or disagree with respect to how it can be analyzed. question remains whether or not you had to elevate to next step of deadly force. what if anything else could you have done to preserve and protect a life? i think that's the question. i think force has to be the final, last resort and when someone is running away, highly problematic even when firing a taser that you felt you were going to die. that's what i think prosecutors will analyze when they render a decision w

cnn white house correspondent boris sanchez is live for us. boris, you are in lafayette park.s is adjacent to the white house. there are peaceful protesters there, and this is actually where peaceful protesters yesterday were pushed back before the curfew and they were tear gassed. tell us what you're seeing right now? >> reporter: well, right now, breanna, the protest remains peaceful. in the last few minutes a big chunk of the crowd actually splintered off following some law enforcement officers and it looks like they're starting to come back. the crowd still pretty large. sizable, bigger than it was yesterday at this same time. and the crowd is mostly just chanting. i haven't seen any projectiles thrown or seen any of the folks that may be inclined to break anything. there really isn't any overt signs of aggression that would lead to the response we saw last night. even though last night was also peaceful, as you said, about a half hour before the curfew. law enforcement pushed people forcibly out of this area, spreading them across several different directions. we saw tear
