so, brad todd, this tariff situation with trump, if you look at what americans tell us when you ask them what they think would happen when there's a tariff on goods that they buy, 60% of them acknowledge that they think the prices would be higher. 23% say they think it wouldn't change. then when you ask them, okay, what should donald trump's priorities be in office the number one priority is lowering prices 79%. how do you square these things? as we head toward what seem to be impending higher tariffs? >> well, first off, i want to level set the intro piece. when donald trump didn't say, oh, i'm going to certainly do this, he said, i'm going to do this in mexico and canada. don't get the border under control. and stop the flow of illegal migrants and fentanyl. he's putting them on notice they have two months to reverse their lax policies. you know, in interdictions of illegal migrants on the canadian border are up nine times what their previous average was just this year. so he's putting justin trudeau in canada, who by the way, has a pretty big problem with decriminalization of hard dru

subjects and i think the white house and the congress will be on the same page. >> megan hayes, brad todd, thanks, guys. sara? >>> all right, ahead this morning, reports that thousands of north korean troops are preparing to launch a new assault against ukrainian forces who have taken russian territory. and jury deliberations set to resume this morning in the murder of two girls known as the delphi double murder trial. if found guilty, the accused face up to 130 years in prison. >>> jury deliberations continue this morning in the delphi, indiana, double murder trial. richard allen is accused of killing 14-year- old liberty german and 13-year- old abigail williams back in 2017. abby and libby, they went for a hike. they were later reported missing and the next day their bodies were found, both with cuts to their hroats. the case attracted tons of attention in part because of a photo and audio recording taken from libby's cell phone. the case ran cold until allen was arrested in 2022. pleaded not guilty to the murder charges. he could face up to 130 years in prison if convicted. >>> drought

we have adam kinsinger, brad todd, let me go to your first, adam. your sense of where we are as a country one day before election day. >> the country is extremely tense. there's this, nobody really knows what is going to happen but everybody feels like their life depends on the results of tomorrow's election. there's a lot of tension. i do worry about this whichever side loses there will be this outpouring of anger particularly if the trump side loses because they've already shown they have the ability . i think tomorrow will be cathartic for people to actually get through election day and i feel harris is in a strong position even though the polls show it is tight i feel like the fundamentals are favoring her right now. >> we saw that poll over the weekend. that felt like a tea leaf that a lot of folks were weighing in on and seizing on. >> i think people looked at that . the fact is there's nobody from the harris campaign going to iowa to campaign but that did tell you a lot about college-educated white women. it told you about independent women.
