brentwood and then you get closer to the bay. it will breach the 70s in san francisco, likely into the 80s. around oakland, which is warm but nowhere close to the kind of heat that we have farther inland. temperatures in the north bay warming up as you go farther north up to above 100 degrees instead of rosa over 110. degrees. 12 specifically around ukiah. that will be the hot spot around the region. so, ma to high heat risk tomorrow. it does start to back off a tiny bit on friday, but friday still going to be hot inland, but watch the change. it happens from friday to saturday. that high heat risk largely disappears from the map. returning to closer to normal temperatures. as we head into the weekend. let's take a look at the 7 day forecast, and we will start within the parts of the bay area where temperatures will retreat to that. normal range slightly above normal on saturday, but then into the upper 80s, which is typical for the middle of july. finished the weekend and head into next week. around the bay another day in the 80

this week, officials broke ground on a new store in brentwood. it's going up on the corner of heydorn ranch road and lone tree plaza drive, not far from highway four. in the past, locals have had to drive to antioch or even tracy if they wanted to shop there. city is hoping for more development of a town center in this area ahead of costco's arrival. brentwood also extended stann creek road from highway four up to haydon to help ease traffic on lone tree way. costco is expected to open early next year. well, it's almost back to school time. and in san jose, a nonprofit called united way bay area is helping out. the community launched a backpack assembly drive over the past couple of days, over 100 volunteers packed these backpacks with supplies like pencils, rulers, notebooks. it's to give students what they need. so the event today is to bring together the community so that we can set up our neighbors for success. a lot of students in the bay area need basic supplies, like school supplies, so that they can be successful for the school year, and
