. >>> new details in the grisly killing of a brisbane woman her body was dismembered and what led to her husband's suicide. elizabeth cook reports. >> reporter: police say they believe paul titchener killed his wife shelly and dumped her body. then planned on committing suicide. but he change his mind. that is, until her remains started turning up and police got involved. police still have not been able to determine exactly how shelly titchener died. but they say the motive behind her killing had to do with stress surrounding money and her alcohol abuse. shelly and paul had a turbulent 4-year marriage and lived apart on and off throughout the 24- year marriage. police believe paul killed her on friday, february 12. then overnight, checked into a san mateo hotel, drafted a will, and transferred money to his two sons' accounts. two days later, february 14, police say paul left a detailed financial instruction for his sons but then that night, appeared to change his mind about taking his own life. he formed a plan to dispose of his wife's body. the next day, february 15, he called polic
