with chief meterologist brittney shipp. temperatures began to cool today as high pressure weakened. this is the beginning of a cooling trend that will have temperatures running below normal through the middle of the week. fires continue to burn but the weather conditions are improving for firefighters. the winds have been very light. the sea breeze will stretch further on shore over the next few days and the humidity will switch from very dry to almos wet as early as tomorrow. on the satellite and radar you can see the clouds and showers moving into california. most of the rain will be south of monterey. we'll see increascing clouds as this system moves through tonight. on the satellite image you can see the storm developing in the gulf of alaska. this storm will bring a chance of showers late on thursday and into early friday. highs tomorrow will be cooler and in the 80s inland, 60s and 70s around the bay, with 50s to mid 60s at the coast. we will conitinue to cool over the next few days with partly cloudy skies tomorrow. late on thursday there is a chance of showers developing in

chief meteorologist, brittney shipp, what's the latest?>> there are concerns of a red flag warning going back into effect witness at 5:00 until thursday at 5 p.m. dry conditions are returning and our wind speeds are going to pick back up again, in fact, tone overnight into tomorrow morning we'll see stronger wind speeds. these will only intensify wednesday night into most of thursday and thursday evening. so the red flag warning in effect for pay lot of our higher -- a lot of our higher elevations in our north bay, east bay and south bay zones, winds 10 to 30 miles per hour, a few locations gusting up to 40 miles per hour, dry conditions expected, humidity levels between 10 to 20% and the wind direction is important as well because that means when it comes in from the north again by 2:00 in morning, we'll see more of a northerly wind direction. that's dry air coming back in. so it's going to help dry us out again, but we did manage to recover with some of our moisture and humidity levels overnight and as we go into tomorrow, things dry out
