brock purdy for the niners and draymond green for the warriors starting with qb1 brock purdy the 49 ers announced he passed his concussion test this morning. head coach kyle shanahan said friday that purdy would start against the bengals if he passed the test. so we can assume that probably stays true tomorrow. purdy was placed in concussion protocol after monday night's loss to the vikings, widely assumed that backup quarterback sam darnold would get the start. but but he made a surprise appearance at practice on thursday. full participant on friday. obviously some concern with purdy playing less than a week going into the protocol with the niners. bye week coming up after sunday's game, some speculation he would not play regardless of the testing. but that apparently will not happen. meanwhile warriors forward draymond green will make his season debut for the warriors sunday afternoon in houston. draymond remembers sprained his ankle during a pickup game this summer and after he was cleared to practice last weekend, there was some hope he would play in the season opener last tuesday.
